Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM Review: Overpriced, Under-performer

By on Email @exolete

Microsoft is positioning the Lumia 540 at the same price as the Lumia 640 which comes with a faster, more powerful SoC, better cameras, larger battery and overall far better performance. So why should you care about the Lumia 540 Dual-SIM? Because it has a 5MP front-facing camera and a 8MP rear camera, both of which can only record in 480p. If you are looking for a Windows Phone, then just give the Lumia 540 a miss, its running on the same internal hardware as the much cheaper Lumia 430 with a higher-res HD display which definitely taxes the Snapdragon 200 SoC. Just go with the Lumia 640 or you can choose from a plethora of Android smartphones available at the same price. If you need more details about the Lumia 540's camera, display, audio-output, call quality and the like, just watch the video above. Detailed review scores with pros/cons are just a scroll away.

6.9

The Lumia 540 is priced incorrectly, multitasking can become a pain and even with 8MP/5MP cameras, it can only record 480p videos, get the Lumia 640 instead.
