Gionee Elife S7 flagship launched in India for Rs. 24,999 featuring a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED full-HD display (1920x1080 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752M 64-bit processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM running Amigo 3.0 OS on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. There's a 13 MP rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and 8 MP front camera for selfies.
Gionee has gone with the premium-feeling metal and glass build for the Elife S7 which is insanely thin at just 5.5 mm. It features a magnesium-aluminium alloy frame with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 in the front and back. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG and FM Radio. Even in that svelte body Gionee was able to cram a 2750 mAh battery.
The lack of expandable storage will truly be missed and 16 GB onboard storage is really never enough. Moreover, Gionee is asking you a premium of 24,999 for the Elife S7 even though you can get the OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi 4 64 GB as well as the Nexus 5 32 GB within the same price point.
