TWTS: Samsung rolls out Lollipop updates, Motorola Marshmallow updates, YouTube Music arrives, Flipkart backtracks on app-only strategy

It was another crazy week in the mobile technology space where Samsung finally began to seed Android Lollipop for its E and Grand Series smartphones at the same time Motorola began seeding Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style, Flipkart finally got some sense and backtracked from its app-only strategy. 1. Samsung started seeding Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Grand Max and the Galaxy E7, it seems the company has not abandoned its mid-range series.


2. Motorola rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the Moto X Style, beating every other manufacturer other than LG.


3. Xiaomi announced its Mi Protect accidental and liquid damage protection plan for its entire range of Mi Devices in India and the Xiaomi Mi5 made a visit to GeekBench ahead of its launch.


4. Snapdragon 820 went official this week with Qualcomm's custom 64-bit ARMv8 based Kryo cores built with Samsung's 14nm FinFET process. Samsung also announced its next-gen high-end processor, the Exynos 8 octa which will power some variants of the Galaxy S7, which might be coming sooner than you thought.


5. Motorola designed Lenovo Lemon X3 will launch on November 16.


6. Apple closed its shutters on Beats Music, while YouTube Music app was finally launched on both Android and iOS.


7. Someone at Flipkart finally had the courage to say that their app-only strategy was going to be a huge blunder. They backtracked and launched Flipkart Lite instead.


8. After all the frenzy around new Nexus devices settled down, reports started to pour in that the Nexus 6P has some serious build issues.
