So, Facebook launched Paper for the iPhone today, but the launch is restricted to the US. Therefore, you can't download the app even if you have an iPhone running iOS 7 outside the US. But there's a workaround and here's how to go about it.
Note: Using this process to change your Country will remove any Credit card information you have associated with your Apple ID. Similarly if you have any gift cards, you would have to spend that before iTunes will allow you to change the regional settings.
If you are fine with this, then let's begin:
- Open up the AppStore on your iPhone
- Scroll to the Bottom and Tap on Apple ID:
- Tap View Apple ID and enter your password
- Tap Change country or region option in options
- Change your country to United States
- Choose None as your Payment option as Facebook Paper is free
- Now you are in the US AppStore and can download Facebook Paper
But if Facebook is really adamant to keep this app US only then it can block the app's access from any other region as well. For the time being Facebook doesn't appear to be doing so.
