Google had announced "Tap To Translate" feature at its #GoogleForIndia conference in India where the company showed a working demo of the feature which allows you to translate text from any app.

All you need to do is select text in any app and a translate button would appear which you can then use to get real time translation of the selected text, without leaving the previous app you were using.

You also get an audio prompt with the translated text to hear what it should actually sound like, helping you to reply instantly when you are visiting a foreign country. Tap To Translate works offline and can be used in any app.

Along with the Tap to Translate feature, Google is also bringing Offline Mode to iOS users, Word Lens has also been updated with support for translations in Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Google Translate now supports 103 languages and with the help of its users the company has been adding more words to languages to increase the depth of translations.
