Micromax is looking for a quick reboot with the new Dual 5 smartphone which is said to take on the Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 Plus with aggressive pricing, and a good set of cameras. The highlight of the smartphone are its metal build and dual-cameras at the back.
The company has packed a 13MP rear shooter coupled with a secondary 5MP camera at the back to capture depth and give you manual depth of field even after the image has been captured. Similar to what the Honor 6X does with its dual cameras. It is said to run on the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor with Mali-T860 GPU and 3GB or 4GB RAM.
In the front the phone also has a selfie flash and a 5MP camera as well as a fingerprint sensor. But most of it is covered by the 5.5-inch 1080p display which has a protective layer on top to prevent scratches. We will know more about the phone and its pricing in about an hour from now, but its given that the Micromax Dual 5 would have to be priced very aggressively to bring the company back into the market.
