Nokia has just started sending out invites for the launch of a new phone in India on October 31st. Just last week, the company launched the Nokia 7 in China and we expect the phone to be making its way to India as well.
The Nokia 7 features a premium glass design with series 7000 aluminum frame which offers more rigidity to the build and also makes the phone IP54 splash resistant. Inside, you will find the Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor with 4GB or 6GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be expanded with a microSD card slot.
You get a 16MP rear camera here with f/1.8 aperture lens to capture more details along with 1.12um large pixel size for more light capture. This enables the camera to capture more light, which makes for better photos even at night. Same goes for the 5-megapixel front-facing camera which also uses larger pixels combined with the Zeiss experience, the Nokia 7 can take a pixel with both front and rear cameras together. something the company likes to call "Bothies."
Rounding up the specs is a 5.2-inch 1080p FHD screen up front with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi, GPS, and NFC.
The Nokia 7 will come in Black and white color options and has been priced at around Rs. 24,500 in China for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs. 30,900 for the 6GB RAM option. Presumably, the base model of the Nokia 7 will be priced below Rs. 20,000 in India.
Nokia may also launch the entry-level Nokia 2 in India which was recently leaked. It packs a 5-inch 720p HD display, Snapdragon 212 processor wirh 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and can be upgraded Oreo as well. Quite literally the biggest feature of the phone would be its 4000 mAh battery. It is expected to be priced at Rs. 5999 in India. We will know more soon.
