Nubia has officially revealed key specifications of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nubia NaviX Ultra in China. The device focuses on combining a high-capacity battery with a slim design, measuring just 7.62mm thick while housing a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon anode battery.

This approach addresses one of the key challenges in modern smartphone design: delivering multi-day battery capacity without significantly increasing the thickness of the device.

Hardware and Performance

The Nubia NaviX Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship platform, complemented by an advanced power management system. The smartphone will support 90W/100W wired fast charging as well as wireless charging.

For memory, Nubia has opted for LPDDR5X DRAM supplied by ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), with transmission speeds of up to 10,667Mbps.

According to an announcement from Nubia and CXMT on September 4, the smartphone will be the first mass-produced commercial handset to use domestically manufactured 10,667Mbps mobile DRAM. The development represents a significant milestone for China’s domestic high-speed semiconductor supply chain.

For selfies and video calls, the device will feature a 50MP high-resolution front-facing camera aimed at delivering detailed images and clearer video communication.

Supply Chain Partnerships

Nubia has also confirmed several major component suppliers for the NaviX Ultra. In addition to Qualcomm and ChangXin Memory Technologies, the smartphone will use display panels supplied by BOE.

Samsung Semiconductor will provide camera and imaging components, while Goodix Technology will contribute biometric and interface-related solutions.

Nubia is expected to reveal additional information, including market-specific launch dates, available RAM and storage configurations, and pricing, at the smartphone’s official launch event.
