OnePlus has launched its latest smartphone in the Nord CE lineup, the OnePlus Nord CE6 in India, as they promised. The smartphone focused on performance, entertainment, battery life, and AI-powered features. The device combines durable hardware, gaming-focused optimizations, a large battery, and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display aimed at everyday users and mobile gamers alike.
Performance and Gaming -
Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process. OnePlus says the device can deliver up to 144 FPS in supported games while maintaining stable performance for up to 6 hours during BGMI sessions.
The phone also features a dedicated Touch Reflex Chip with a 3200Hz instant touch sampling rate, alongside a 6-axis gaming gyroscope and an X-axis linear motor for enhanced gaming controls and haptic feedback. To manage heat during extended gaming, the Nord CE6 includes a VC cooling system with a 5,000 mm² vapor chamber and a total heat dissipation area of 33,147 mm².
Display and Audio -
The smartphone sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. Under bright outdoor conditions, the panel can reach up to 1800 nits in High Brightness Mode. The display also incorporates 3840Hz PWM dimming to reduce screen flicker and improve viewing comfort during prolonged use.
OnePlus has added Aqua Touch 2.0 technology, allowing the screen to remain responsive even with wet fingers. Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers with support for up to 300% Ultra Volume output.
Camera and AI Features -
For photography, the Nord CE6 features a 50MP rear camera with dual-axis optical image stabilization and support for 4K video recording. On the front, the phone houses a 32MP selfie camera with multi-point autofocus and 4K video capture support. The camera system is complemented by several AI-powered editing tools, including AI Portrait Glow, AI Perfect Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Unblur.
Software -
The smartphone runs OxygenOS 16 out of the box, with OnePlus promising long-term smooth performance and system fluency for up to six years.
Battery and Charging -
One of the major highlights of the Nord CE6 is its massive 8000mAh battery, which OnePlus claims can provide more than 2.5 days of regular usage on a single charge. The device supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and includes All-Scenario Bypass Charging, enabling the phone to draw power directly from the charger during intensive tasks to reduce heat buildup.
The phone also supports 27W wired reverse charging, with OnePlus claiming a 10-minute reverse charge can power compatible Nord Buds Pro 4 earbuds for up to 12 hours of Spotify playback. Additionally, the Battery Health Engine is designed to preserve battery capacity and durability for up to six years of daily use.
Durability and Design -
The OnePlus Nord CE6 is built with a strong focus on durability and premium aesthetics. The smartphone comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering enhanced resistance against dust and water exposure. It has also cleared MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification tests for added reliability in demanding conditions. For display protection, the device uses OnePlus’ proprietary Crystal Guard Glass on the front.
