OPPO A55 launch

OPPO has launched its latest mid-range 5G smartphone the OPPO A55 5G in China. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a dewdrop notch, 60Hz refresh rate, 60Hz touch sampling rate, 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 480 nits peak brightness. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and works on the latest ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.

Coming to the cameras, it has a triple rear camera setup where a 13MP primary camera along with a 2MP macro shooter, a 2MP sensor for portrait shots, and on the front side has an 8MP selfie camera. It features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds, and is power by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging, and it comes in Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black colors.

The price of the OPPO A55 5G is ¥1,599 (US $247 / Rs.18,000 approx.) in China and is available now for pre-order. It will be rollout in global markets in the coming days after the phones powered by MediaTek 5G chipsets have started launching in other countries.
