Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship compact tablet, the REDMI K Pad 2 at an event in China, along with REDMI K90 Max. It features an 8.8-inch 3K LCD screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, similar to its predecessor, but now with improved HBM brightness of up to 1100 nits and a 540Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate.
The tablet is powered by TSMC’s 3nm-based Dimensity 9500 processor and incorporates a large 15,300 mm² aluminum alloy liquid-cooled vapor chamber. Combined with a chip-centered architecture, this setup significantly enhances heat dissipation, enabling a smooth 3K super-resolution gaming experience at a full 165Hz frame rate across more than 40 popular games in China.
Xiaomi has also introduced an upgraded eye protection system, offering full-brightness DC dimming, reduced blue light, and a flicker-free viewing experience for improved comfort during extended use. The device is backed by a 9100mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
To further enhance gaming, the REDMI K Pad 2 includes features such as dual USB-C ports for simultaneous charging and audio, a 360° surround antenna layout for better signal reception, bypass charging support, and dual 1620 full-range speakers tuned with Sound by Bose.
