Samsung is working on its upcoming smartphone in the A series phone, which surfaced on Geekbench listing recently with the model number SM-A256B revealing some of the specifications. It will be powered by an Exynos 1280 SoC with 8GB of RAM and based on Android 14.
Samsung continues to utilize the Exynos 1280 SoC in the recently launched Galaxy M34 5G for the Indian market, which isn't surprising. However, what's intriguing is the expectation that this phone will debut with Android 14 and One UI 6 already installed.
Samsung has initiated a practice of providing four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates, even for mid-range devices, potentially extending its software support up to Android 18.
According to information from leaker Anthony (@TheGalox_) on X (formerly Twitter), the phone is anticipated to sport a 6.44-inch AMOLED display. Earlier leaks hinted at a notched display and a 90Hz refresh rate for this device. Regarding the camera setup, reports suggest a 50MP primary camera, aligning with earlier rumors of a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera, mirroring the configuration found on the A24.
The Samsung Galaxy A25 is expected to make its debut in the fourth quarter of 2023. More information is likely to become available in the upcoming weeks.
