Xiaomi Mi Max was launched in India today starting at Rs. 14999. It comes with a huge 6.44-inch 1080p IPS display which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by the Snapdragon 650 hexa-core SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage. The company also announced the 4GB RAM variant of Mi Max with 128GB storage and Snapdragon 652 for Rs. 19999.
To keep everything running Xiaomi has added a 4850 mAh battery on the Mi Max to give it ample juice to last one full day on a charge. On the camera front you have a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture for better low-light imaging and excellent bokeh. It is accompanied by a front-facing 5MP camera for your seflie needs.

Xiaomi has gone with a unibody metal construction on the Mi Max as well, similar to the Redmi Note 3. In-fact the Mi Max just looks like a blown-up RN3. But the camera module has been moved to the left, possibly to make space for the massive battery. Considering that there is close to a 5000 mAh battery inside it is quite a thin device at just 7.5mm but weighs in at 203 grams. There are soft curves on the sides and curved glass in the front coupled with metal chamfers which would make the grip-ability a bit better.
Connectivity options are plenty here, dual-SIM 4G LTE with VoLTE support on all carriers in India but it uses a hybrid SIM slot arrangement which means you have to use the second SIM card slot if you want to expand storage. Then there's dual-band WiFi, GPS, FM Radio as well as NFC. A fingerprint sensor is also present on the back of the device.

Pricing and Availability
The Mi Max will be available in India priced at Rs. 14999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant. It will be available on July 6th on Mi.com and July 13th on open sale on Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, PayTM. The 4GB RAM variant with Snapdragon 652 will also be available on open sale later for Rs. 19999.
