Xiaomi is expected to launch a new smartphone in January 2017, and according to recent rumors, it's going to be the Redmi Note 4. In China, the smartphone was launched with Helio X20 processor but in India, Xiaomi is said to use the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz which is known to be super power-efficient.

Xiaomi was banned from selling MediaTek processor based smartphones in India, therefore even the Redmi Note 3 was launched with Snapdragon 650. Along with the Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi may introduce some other Mi Home products like the new air purifier, robot vacuum cleaner, anti-pollution masks.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 to come with Snapdragon 625 processor

Coming to other specs, the Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display with a pixel density of 401 PPI covered in 2.5D glass. There are two storage variants as well 16 GB with 2 GB RAM and 64 GB with 3 GB RAM. It also has a hybrid microSD card slot to expand storage. On the camera front, there's a 13 MP sensor at the back with dual-tone LED flash and 5 MP front camera for selfies. Although this may seem like a downgrade from the 16 MP rear camera on the Redmi Note 3. However, Xiaomi may change the camera specs of the phone as well. In terms of design, the entire back of the phone is made of metal and you can see the antenna lines there too. There's a fingerprint sensor at the back as well in a symmetrical pattern. The back of the phone also has a matte finish, and it curves on the sides giving a better grip. You will still get the excellent 4100 mAh battery inside the 8.35mm thin shell of the Redmi Note 4 weighing in at 175 grams.

Expected Pricing

The Redmi Note 4 should come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is expected to launch in mid-January 2017 with prices starting at Rs. 11999
