OnePlus has posted a new teaser image on their OnePlus India website and social channels that says ‘Something new is on the Horizon' on March 8th in India and other markets. It shows a shot of the earth that looks similar to the HASSELBLAD IN SPACE image on the official Hasselblad website, which explains how the Hasselblad camera was used to capture the Earth rising above the moon’s horizon from Apollo 11 Spacecraft.
Earlier the prototype of the phone surfaced last month with Hasselblad branding on the camera bump for the first time in a smartphone. The Camera UI showed 3.3x zoom, 0.6x for the ultra-wide camera, and the Tilt-Shift option that will let you focus on an object and blur out other parts.
The phone should come with a Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) curved screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate LTPO panel. According to the earlier rumors, it revealed a 6.7-inch display, and some images show 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will be powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 888 processor.
Recently, rumors revealed that the phone will feature IP68 water resistance ratings and will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will be powered by a larger battery 4510mAh that supports 65W wired fast charging and 45W wireless charging. The OnePlus 9 series will be launched by the end of March, but we should know that the launch date on March 8th next Monday.
