Xiaomi has unveiled the REDMI Note 15 Pro Series for global markets, comprising the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G and REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G. The new lineup places strong emphasis on durability, long battery life, and AI-powered photography.
Although the devices were first launched in China last year, the global variants arrive with a few refinements, particularly in the camera system and battery configuration.
Build Quality and Durability -
The REDMI Note 15 Pro Series is designed with enhanced toughness in mind. Both models are protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 and carry SGS Premium Performance Certification for resistance to drops, pressure, and bending. In terms of ingress protection, the two phones meet IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, allowing them to withstand water immersion up to 2 meters for 24 hours.
The Pro+ variant further features a fiberglass back panel engineered to improve shock absorption. Xiaomi has also introduced “Wet Touch 2.0,” which ensures accurate touch response even when the screen or the user’s hands are wet.
Camera System and AI Features -
At the core of the imaging setup is a new 200MP HPE sensor (1/1.4-inch). The camera system supports in-sensor zoom, delivering 2× and 4× optical-grade zoom and covering five focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 92mm.
Xiaomi has added several AI-powered tools to enhance photography, including:
- Triple-focal-length DAG HDR for improved dynamic range
- AI Creativity Assistant for advanced post-processing
- Dynamic Shots 2.0 for motion effects and object removal
Performance and Software -
The two models are powered by different chipsets to cater to different performance tiers:
- REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G - Runs on the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 4 platform and features Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system, which is claimed to offer three times the heat dissipation efficiency of conventional solutions.
- REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G - Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset.
On the software side, both devices support Google Gemini and Circle to Search. The Pro+ model also integrates Xiaomi HyperAI for system-level AI functions. Connectivity features include the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner (on the Pro+) for improved signal stability and an offline communication mode that enables short-range voice transmission without cellular coverage.
Display and Audio -
The series comes with near bezel-less displays offering peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort.
- Display sizes - The Pro+ and Pro feature 6.83-inch panels, while the standard Note 15 5G uses a 6.77-inch screen.
- Audio - Stereo speakers are included, with volume boost support reaching up to 400% on select models and 300% on the standard variant.
Battery and Charging -
Battery life is a major highlight of the lineup. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a 6500mAh Silicon–Carbon (SiC) battery and supports 100W fast charging. The REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G packs a 6580mAh SiC battery with 45W fast charging. This battery technology, making its debut in the REDMI Note series, enables higher energy density in a compact form factor. The devices also support 22.5W reverse charging.
According to Xiaomi, the battery management system is designed to retain up to 80% capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, which the company estimates to be equivalent to around six years of typical usage.

- The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is offered in Mocha Brown, Glacier Blue, and Black colour options, with prices starting at USD 449 (approximately Rs. 40,545) for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
- The REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G comes in Titanium, Glacier Blue, Mist Purple, and Black shades, and is priced from USD 399 (around Rs. 36,030) for the 8GB + 256GB model.
Both smartphones have already begun rolling out in select global markets and are expected to make their debut in India in the near future.
